Come Out From Among Them: Living as Influencers for Christ
Today's sermon explores what it means to be temporary residents on earth, using vivid imagery of travelers, gypsies, and aliens who don't quite belong to this world because our true home is being prepared in heaven. We're challenged to examine whether we've become so comfortable in modern society that we've lost our identity as God's people. The message weaves together stories of biblical influencers—Stephen's unwavering faith as stones struck his body, Jehoshaphat's army that won through worship rather than warfare, and young King Josiah who discovered God's Word and led an entire nation back to righteousness. These accounts remind us that we're only here for a vapor, a moment, a passing shadow. The question becomes urgent: what are we leaving behind for the next generation? Will we leave them empty buildings and bank accounts, or will we leave them a living legacy of faith, power, and the presence of the Holy Spirit that transforms lives?
