Trust the One Who Finishes What He Starts

Scripture

And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. - Philippians 1:6 NLT

Devotional

Jesus began the journey to Jairus’ house, and He completed it. The interruption did not stop Him. The bad news did not stop Him. The unbelief of others did not stop Him. Even death did not stop Him.

What Jesus starts, He is able to finish.

There may be areas in your life where you feel stuck in the middle. You remember when God began something. You remember the promise, the prayer, the step of faith. But now the road feels delayed, complicated, or uncertain.

Be encouraged: God is not careless with what He begins.

His work may take longer than you expected. It may include turns you did not anticipate. It may stretch your faith more than you imagined. But He is faithful from beginning to end.

Your responsibility is not to control the entire journey. Your responsibility is to keep trusting, keep walking, keep praying, and keep believing.

The same Jesus who started walking with Jairus finished the journey in resurrection power. He is still the same today.

Reflection

What good work do you need to trust God to complete in your life?
Where are you tempted to give up because the journey has been delayed?
Declare today: “God is faithful to finish what He started.”
