God Is Not Limited by Finality

Scripture

Jesus told her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Anyone who believes in me will live, even after dying. - John 11:25 NLT

Devotional

Death feels final. Closed doors feel final. Broken relationships can feel final. A lost opportunity can feel final. A devastating report can feel final.

But finality belongs to God alone.

When Jesus arrived at Jairus’ house, people were weeping and mourning. In their minds, the story was finished. But Jesus saw what they could not see. He entered the room, took the girl by the hand, and called her to rise.

What others called the end, Jesus treated as an opportunity to reveal His power.

This does not mean every situation turns out exactly as we hoped. Faith is not a formula for controlling outcomes. But it does mean that nothing is beyond Christ’s authority. Even when something dies, Jesus is still Lord. Even when the answer changes, Jesus is still faithful. Even when grief is real, hope is still alive.

God can resurrect dreams. He can restore joy. He can breathe life into weary hearts. He can make a way where there seems to be none.

Do not let what looks final convince you that Jesus is finished.

Reflection

What situation in your life feels final or beyond repair?
How does Jesus being “the resurrection and the life” speak to that situation?
Invite Him into the place that feels dead, hopeless, or closed.
