Jesus Is Willing to Walk With You
Scripture
So Jesus went with him. A large crowd followed and pressed around him. - Mark 5:24 NIV
Devotional
Those five simple words are full of hope: “So Jesus went with him.” Jairus came to Jesus with an impossible need, and Jesus did not turn him away. He did not dismiss him. He did not say the situation was too complicated or too far gone. Jesus began walking with him.
When you call on the Lord, you may not receive the full answer immediately, but you can trust that He is with you. His presence is not always proven by instant resolution. Sometimes His presence is revealed in the fact that you are still standing, still breathing, still believing, and still being carried by grace. The journey may be longer than you expected. The answer may not come the way you imagined. But if Jesus is walking with you, you are not abandoned.
There is comfort in knowing that before the miracle ever happened, Jesus was already on the way. Before Jairus saw his daughter raised, he had the promise of Christ’s presence.
Today, remember this: Jesus is not only the God of the outcome. He is the God of the journey.
Reflection
Where do you need to recognize Jesus walking with you, even before the answer comes?
How can His presence bring peace in the waiting?
Pray: “Lord, help me trust You on the journey, not just at the destination.”
