Bring the Need to Jesus

Scripture

Then a leader of the local synagogue, whose name was Jairus, arrived. When he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet, pleading fervently with him. “My little daughter is dying,” he said. “Please come and lay your hands on her; heal her so she can live.” - Mark 5:22-23 NLT

Devotional

Jairus was a respected leader, but his position could not solve the crisis in his home. His title could not heal his daughter. His experience could not stop death from approaching. So he did the only thing that mattered: he went to Jesus.

There are moments in life when we realize we are not in control. We cannot fix the diagnosis, repair the relationship, change the heart, or force the answer to come. But desperation can become holy when it drives us to the feet of Christ.

Jairus did not come to Jesus with pride. He came with humility. He fell at His feet and pleaded. Faith often begins right there—not with perfect words, but with honest surrender.

Whatever you are facing today, bring it to Jesus. You do not have to pretend you are strong. You do not have to hide the pain. You can come with urgency, tears, and trembling faith. Jesus is not offended by your need. He welcomes you to come.
