Come and See

Scripture

Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, “Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?”
— John 4:28-29 NIV

Devotional

A true encounter with Jesus does not stay hidden. The woman at the well left her water jar behind and ran to tell others. The very people she may have avoided became the people she wanted to reach.

Her testimony was simple: “Come and see.” She did not have a theology degree. She did not have every answer. She simply knew she had met someone who changed her.

Your story has power. You may think it is too messy, too ordinary, or too incomplete, but Jesus uses honest testimonies. People do not need a perfect version of you; they need to see the grace of God at work in you.

When Christ changes a life, that life becomes an invitation. Your worship, your words, your compassion, your obedience, and your courage can all say to someone else, “Come and see.”

Personal revival is never meant to end with us. It becomes a witness.

Reflection

Who needs to hear what Jesus has done in your life?
What “water jar” do you need to leave behind in order to obey Him?
Pray: “Jesus, make my life a testimony. Give me courage to invite others to come and see.”
