Leave It With Him
Scripture
Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. — Matthew 11:28 ESV
Devotional
Life is full of choices, and one of the most important choices we make is whether we will keep carrying what is crushing us or surrender it to Jesus. He does not force our hands open. He does not rip burdens away from us. He invites us to come.
Some burdens become familiar. We learn how to function while carrying guilt, fear, bitterness, shame, disappointment, or anxiety. But familiar does not mean healthy. Jesus offers rest, not because our circumstances are always easy, but because His presence is strong enough to hold what we were never meant to carry.
The invitation is simple: come to Him. Not when you have everything fixed. Not when you feel spiritual enough. Not when you understand every detail. Come weary. Come honest. Come burdened. Come now.
A renewed life often begins with one surrendered burden.
Reflection
What burden have you been carrying that Jesus is asking you to surrender?
Are you willing to release it, even if you do not yet know what comes next?
Pray: “Jesus, I give You what I cannot carry anymore. Teach me to rest in You.”
