Together in One Place
Scripture
When the day of Pentecost came, they were all together in one place. - Acts 2:1 NIV
Devotional
There is power when God’s people gather together with one heart. On the day of Pentecost, the followers of Jesus were not scattered in isolation. They were together. They were waiting. They were praying. They were unified in expectation.
God often moves in powerful ways when His people come together hungry for Him. Unity creates an atmosphere of surrender. When believers gather not as spectators but as seekers, hearts are opened, faith is strengthened, and the presence of God becomes evident.
The early believers did not fully know what was coming, but they knew Who had promised it. Jesus told them to wait for the promise of the Father, and they obeyed. Their obedience positioned them for an outpouring.
There are moments when God calls us not to strive, not to rush ahead, but to gather, wait, worship, and receive.
Reflection
Do you come into God’s presence with expectation?
How can you pursue greater unity with other believers?
Pray today: “Holy Spirit, unite my heart with Your people and make me ready to receive all You have.”
