From Thicket to Food Forest

Pastor Darren shared a powerful image: what looks like a thicket to the untrained eye may actually be a food forest. A food forest can look messy, overgrown, and unorganized. Trees, vines, bushes, flowers, and plants may all grow close together. But in season, fruit begins to appear. That is often how God works in our lives.
We may look at our story and see only tangled places: grief, delay, hurt, failure, confusion, and waiting. But God sees what He is cultivating. He sees roots going deeper. He sees fruit forming. He sees harvest coming. Not everything blooms at the same time. Some seeds produce quickly. Some trees take years. But delay does not mean death. Mess does not mean meaningless.
If you are in the thick of it, do not assume God is finished. You may simply be waiting on the season of bloom. The call now is to be intentional. Stop wandering in circles. Stop waiting for the easy way out. Follow God. Trust His provision. Let Him turn the thicket into a place of fruitfulness.
