God Will Provide

Isaac spoke up and said to his father Abraham, “Father?” “Yes, my son?” Abraham replied. “The fire and wood are here,” Isaac said, “but where is the lamb for the burnt offering?” Abraham answered, “God himself will provide the lamb for the burnt offering, my son.” And the two of them went on together. - Genesis 22:7-8 NIV
Devotion
Isaac asked the obvious question: “Where is the lamb?” Abraham’s answer was faith-filled: “God Himself will provide.”
Pastor Darren challenged us to stop focusing on the bush hog and start focusing on the ram. In other words, stop obsessing over how to escape the thicket and start trusting God’s provision inside it. Many times, we pray, “God, get me out of this.” But fewer times do we pray, “God, show me Your provision in the middle of this.”
Abraham did not yet see the ram, but he trusted the Provider.
Provision does not always arrive when we prefer. Sometimes it appears at the moment of surrender. Sometimes it is hidden until obedience is complete. Sometimes the answer is already nearby, but we cannot see it because our eyes are fixed on the difficulty.
God is not absent in the thicket. He is Jehovah Jireh—the Lord who provides.

Where are you asking, “Lord, where is the lamb?”
Are your eyes more focused on the problem or the Provider?
Pray today: “God, help me see Your provision, even before I understand the path.”
