Worship in the Hard Place

Then Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey, and I and the boy will go over there; and we will worship and return to you.” - Genesis 22:5 NASB
Devotion
Abraham called the hardest walk of his life “worship.” That is stunning. He was not walking toward comfort. He was walking toward surrender. Yet he told the servants, “We will worship.”
Pastor Darren pointed out Abraham’s faith: he believed they would walk out the same way they walked in. He trusted that the God who carried him into the thick of it would also carry him out.
Worship is not just singing when life is good. Worship is surrender when life is confusing. Worship is obedience when emotions are screaming. Worship is saying, “God, I do not understand this, but I still believe You are faithful.”
The mountain of testing became a place of worship because Abraham brought trust with him.
You may be in a hard place right now, but that place can become holy ground if you choose worship over fear.
