Builders for the Harvest
Scripture
“Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. ” — John 4:35 NIV
Devotion
Pastor Darren reminded us that we are builders—builders of family, builders of the body of Christ, and builders of personal relationship with Jesus. But all of this is connected to the harvest.
The world is broken, hurting, and searching. Darkness is real, but so is the power of God. Lawlessness may be at work, but the church must also be at work. We are called to carry the love, truth, and presence of Jesus into places where people need hope.
A church with a true relationship with Jesus will not only gather inside the building. It will go out into the world. It will love those others overlook. It will serve where others may not go. It will carry testimony beyond the altar and into everyday life.
The harvest is still before us. The call is still active. The mission is still alive.

Reflection
- Do I see the people around me as part of the harvest?
- Where is God calling me to serve, love, or speak hope this week?
- Pray: “Lord, make me a builder for Your kingdom and a worker in Your harvest.”
