A Relationship That Changes How We Treat People

Scripture

“Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples.” — John 13:35 NLT

Devotion

Pastor Darren taught that our personal relationship with Jesus affects every other relationship in our lives. Our relationship with Christ shapes how we love our family, how we serve the body of Christ, and how we treat people around us.

A person walking closely with Jesus will become more compassionate, loving, patient, and humble. That does not mean we become perfect overnight, but it does mean the Spirit of God begins producing fruit in us.

If we are stirring division, holding bitterness, refusing forgiveness, or failing to love others, we need to examine the condition of our hearts before God.

Relationship with Jesus is never meant to stay private and invisible. It becomes visible through love.

Reflection

  • What do my relationships reveal about my walk with Jesus?
  • Is there anyone I need to forgive, encourage, or love better?
  • Ask God to make you a person who reflects His compassion.
