The Blood of the Lamb and the Word of Your Testimony
Scripture
“But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light… the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.” — 1 John 1:7, KJV
Devotion
Pastor Darren brought everything back to the foundation of our victory: the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony. We do not overcome by willpower alone. We overcome because Jesus gave His life, shed His blood, and defeated sin, death, and the enemy.
The blood of Jesus cleanses. The blood restores. The blood breaks chains. The blood gives us a new identity.
But we are also called to speak what God has done. Testimony pushes back darkness. It reminds the enemy that he did not win. It reminds our own hearts that God has been faithful. It encourages others to believe that if God did it for someone else, He can do it for them too.
You may still be walking through a process, but you already have a reason to praise. If Jesus has saved you, sustained you, forgiven you, or carried you, then you have a testimony.
Reflection
What is one thing God has done in your life that you need to declare with boldness? Take time today to thank Him and, if possible, share it with someone else.
