Build the Wall Together
Scripture
“So we built the wall, and the whole wall was joined together to half its height, for the people had a mind to work.” — Nehemiah 4:6 NASB
Devotion
Nehemiah did not rebuild the wall alone. The people worked together. Goldsmiths, priests, officials, families, skilled workers, and ordinary people all took their place. The wall went up because the people had a mind to work.
Pastor Darren reminded the church that the mission is bigger than preference, personality, or comfort. The world does not need a distracted, divided, lukewarm church. It needs a Spirit-filled body on fire for Jesus.
God has placed gifts in His people for the common good. Wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment, tongues, interpretation, helps, leadership, encouragement, service—all of it matters. But gifts must be connected to unity and mission.
We are not building our own name. We are not building our own group. We are building for the King of kings.
The question is not whether there is work to do. The question is whether we will take our place on the wall.

Where has God called me to build, serve, pray, give, or encourage?
Ask God to show you your place in the body and give you a willing heart to work.
