No Room for Cliques

“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor.” — Romans 12:10 ESV
Devotion
One of the strong burdens Pastor Darren shared was that there is no room for cliques in the body of Christ. The church was never meant to be a collection of competing groups. It is meant to be one family, united under one Lord, filled with one Spirit, moving toward one mission.
Cliques divide what Jesus died to unite. They create insiders and outsiders. They feed insecurity, offense, gossip, and comparison. But brotherly love builds bridges. Honor makes room. Humility opens doors.
The church should be the place where people from every walk of life can come and find family. Rich or poor, young or old, new believer or seasoned saint, every person matters. We are not called to protect our circles; we are called to expand the family.
Love does not mean we will all have the same hobbies, personalities, or preferences. But it does mean we refuse to treat each other as enemies, outsiders, or inconveniences.
