Many Parts, One Body
Scripture
“For just as the body is one and yet has many parts, and all the parts of the body, though they are many, are one body, so also is Christ.” — 1 Corinthians 12:12 NASB
Devotion
The body of Christ is made up of many different people with different backgrounds, personalities, gifts, stories, and callings. Not everyone thinks alike. Not everyone serves the same way. Not everyone carries the same role. But every part matters.
Pastor Darren reminded the church that God arranges the parts of the body as He wills. That means your presence is not accidental. Your gift is not random. Your place in the body has purpose.
The hand should not despise the foot. The eye should not dismiss the ear. The person with a visible gift should not look down on the person serving quietly. The person serving quietly should not believe they are unnecessary.
A healthy body values every part. A healthy church refuses comparison and competition. A healthy believer asks, “Lord, where have You placed me, and how can I serve faithfully?”
Reflection
Do I see myself as a necessary part of the body of Christ?
Do I honor the gifts and roles of others, even when they are different from mine?
