Expect Opposition, Keep Building

“Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.” — 1 Peter 5:8 NLT
Devotion
Pastor Darren reminded us that whenever God’s people start rebuilding what the enemy has torn down, opposition comes. Sanballat and Tobiah mocked the builders. They tried to discourage them. They tried to intimidate them.
But Nehemiah did not quit. He prayed, encouraged the people, and kept building.
Spiritual opposition is not proof that you are failing. Sometimes it is proof that you are moving in the right direction. The enemy does not have to fight what is asleep. But when God’s people wake up, take their place, and begin rebuilding, the enemy pushes back.
Do not let mockery, fear, weariness, or criticism pull you off the wall. Stay alert. Stay prayerful. Stay faithful.
